The Snowman (2022)
Check out the full film below:
The Snowman, explores my second attempt at stopmotion animation. I was inspired by the John Lewis 2013 advert, 'The Bear and the Hare' which lead to me designing a similar woodland backdrop. I made the scenery out of scraps of balsa wood and the characters out of plasticine. The story revolves around a growing friendship between a melting snowman and a hare.

A Belief In Christmas (2020)

A Belief In Christmas marks my first attempt at stopmotion animation, made when the Covid pandemic struck in 2020. I was inspired by the Wallace and Gromit films and intrigued by how an inanimate object could be moved to look alive. Over the course of 4 months I designed and made four sets, made 3 characters and animated the film. As I was on a tight budget this allowed me to think creatively about how I could use materials, with the magority of the sets being made from balsa wood and fabric scraps.
